Summary

Flashback to Anakin Skywalker's betrayal at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

Jump to Wyl Tarson, Rebel spy, dreaming about his early encounters with the Empire alongside his brother and his current fear of being uncovered by the evil Raze who he's been spying on.

After passing on a message to Luke Skywalker, he knows he better begin to make his escape before being discovered. He makes a run for his ship but is halted in this tracks by something in his head that knocks him to the ground. He is comforted by a woman named Laynara.

Meanwhile on Ahakista, Councilman Derral is inspecting the marketplace when he is assassinated by a man named Dunlan. Two individuals, Sardoth and Erla, look on and know that any civil war there would be problematic since an Imperial base is hidden nearby.

On the ship, Raze is speaking to Wyl through implants only he can here and tells him he must complete his mission or the bomb in his head will go off! He is headed to Ahakista to meet with Sardoth where he'll need a strike team that will most likely be killed during the mission.

First they pick up a lock cracker named Baco Parr, but during the second stop to meet someone who supposedly killed a Dark Jedi, they run into trouble in the form of a lightsaber.

-----

After a brief fight, their attacker turns out to be the man they are looking for, Darca Nyl!

On Ahakista, a man named Burlar is demanding that Dunlan be killed, but he is interrupted by someone he greatly fears.

Dunlan is roused from hiding by an Imperial attack on his neighborhood. He knows it was not specifically to kill him, but to send a message - the Rebellion must end.

It takes some convincing by Laynara, but Darca decides to join the team. When they near Ahakista, they are surrounded by Imperials. After toying with him, Raze gives Wyl the landing codes needed to pass. They meet with Sardoth who gets them settled in and Laynara gives him something from Raze. Laynara and Wyl argue over loyalties.

Sardoth summons Darca and shows him his collection of lightsabers and asks if he's a Jedi.

Nearby, Darth Vader senses something.

-----

Sardoth takes them to a secret meeting with an Imperial Officer named Rasha Bex who owes Raze a favor. They introduce him to Dunlan.

Vader tells Burlar that he will follow his advice and crush the uprising, but his services will no longer be needed and Vader kills him. One of Dunlan's associates betrays his location to Vader.

Sardoth explains that "The Hub" is a series of super computers used by the Empire to monitor ships and routes throughout the galaxy. It is housed on Ahakista. Sardoth has a plan to destroy "The Hub" and thus eliminate the Empire's desire to occupy the planet. Dunlan is against the plan as it'll be suicide for his followers.

Dunlan returns to his hideout, but it is attacked and destroyed just as he arrives. Vader kills everyone inside, but Dunlan is able to escape.

Tired of waiting, Rasha tries to leave, but Wyl returns and says the plan is going to happen right now.

-----

As they enter the tunnels under the city, they kill many stormtroopers guarding them. By now, Darca has realized that this mission wasn't everything Wyl said, but still is glad to be back in action.

On the surface, Dunlan watches as the full out Imperial attack on the city begins.

Laynara tells Wyl she is suspicious of Sardoth as he seems to know this maze of tunnels far better than he should.

Rasha reaches the controls for the energy field surround "The Hub", but the guards there foil her plans. Wyl considers walking into the shield and destroying it with the bomb in his head, but Raze zaps him with pain. Laynara reveals it was she who put the bomb in his head, and he servitude to Raze pains her as well.

Darca goes off alone, but is intercepted by Sardoth who recounts the story of Order 66 and the Fallen Jedi that helped it succeed. Sardoth was one of those Jedi and Darca has his master's lightsaber! He attacks with his own blade!

Fighting through the assault on the city, Dunlan reaches "The Hub" and uses a missile to knock out the energy field. He survives only a moment more as Vader kills him. Suddenly he feels Sardoth using the Force and sends Stormtroopers after the disturbance.

-----

While Wyl and the others reach the locked door Baco must open, Sardoth and Darca continue to duel when Darth Vader enters and attacks them both.

Baco gets the door open, but Stormtroopers shoot him. He stays behind to lock the door behind them, but makes Wyl promise to get the intel to the Rebellion. As they enter "The Hub", Wyl tries to send the data to the Rebellion, but Raze inflicts pain on him until Laynara threatens to expose Raze to the Empire if he doesn't stop.

Vader kills Sardoth, but Darca goes missing. He returns and disables the bomb in Wyl's head just as Raze tries to detonate it. Vader begins choking the life from Laynara, but Wyl decides to give up all his information on Raze and the Rebellion to save her life.

Raze's ships are bombarded and destroyed. Still hiding inside "The Hub", Darca looks on at the destruction and curses his ties to Wyl.
